Have You Seen a Head Rolling Around Anywhere?

Have you? It has long brown hair, freshly washed, no gray. No?

Somebody must have it because obviously the lump on my shoulders is not mine. A pod head?

I missed my 100th post, totally blew by it. I just missed my 200th post. Did not notice until I hit post 208.

I missed my Blogaversary. Yes, October 25, 2008 was the first time I posted and I totally let that anniversary go by without so much as a howdy doo.

I never realized how true it is that when you have too much on your mind, your brain cells cease their hand holding function and start firing willy nilly.

Teddy Bear has had some medical issues which are distressing. I have had billing issues with clients. My property management company has their head up their butt so far it is now threatening to replace their heart. What am I saying?!! They never had a heart to begin with.

And my work computer may be dying. I make a living working at home....on my computer. Now it sounds like a VW bus chugging its way up the Grapevine...in the snow. Even with my headphones on, I can hear the little fan scraping along or whatever it is that is broken.

I ran to my favorite big box store and bought a computer on Friday. Something made me not open it and now it is Sunday morning and I realize what stopped me. The stupid new computer comes with Vista with a free upgrade to Windows 7....which means delays in getting it up and running, but more importantly, I have ancient software that probably will not run on either system! My most favorite software that I use to run my business is oldddddddd, Pleistocene era, created in 2001.

I am now sitting here doing this post on my laptop wondering if living in a cardboard box is all that bad. I have a long extension cord. Can I plug into one your outlets? Please.

*sigh* Fine. Think of me today as I battle the bits and bytes. I know Jack Daniels won't help but do you think it will hurt?

Jack would have me singing to The Porcelain Gods just from a whiff! Computer upgrading SUCKS cause getting everything to run and install and run and install and run on the new system is never E-A-S-Y! WTF? I just want everything on this one, on that one. Why so difficult?

It might just be time to blow the dust out of the old PC. My work PC has taken to shutting down mid-day, mid-task, mid-meeting, without regard to what might otherwise happen.

At least I have an IT department that would never dream of inflicting Vista upon me. Even the laptop I got earlier this year was custom-ordered with XP.

I'm so afraid of having to say goodbye to XP, but the time is coming ;( I hated Vista so much after working on my friend's computer that I have dealt with all kinds of issues with the three computers we have with XP just so I never had to work with Vista again.

Please tell me Windows 7 is better than Vista, as I'm not really in the mood to upgrade to a couple Macs and have to learn how to use the super-expensive things.

Thanks for stopping by yesterday. I love your blog!

My hubs loves Vista. I'm probably not going to have to get a new computer for at least another year, knock on wood, or longer if possible.

I hate change.

Windows 7 is apparently 100% better than Vista. It is said to have a similar feel as the MAC OS -which should be interesting.

Jack Daniels can NEVER hurt.

I hope you get your software issue figured out. It's amazing how absolutely useless we become without our computers, isn't it?

Happy belated blogaversary.

So sorry to hear about your computer woes. Are you going to keep the new one?

I forget birthdays, anniversaries, soccer practice, boy scout meetings, parent teacher conferences, so when i forgot my blogaversary and my 100th post... it came as no surprise... hope teddy is okay..
OH get an external hard-drive, call up a local radio shack, theres always a kid working there with some sort of certificate that can clean out and fix a computer, might be worth the $100 bucks to dump all your important files onto an external and get the old one up and running again. works girl... experience... ya

Sorry to hear about the medical problems and the software problems! Yuck! Jack Daniels is a superior solution to all of your problems. They do say that you can hide them within a bottle of alcohol don't they?

Also, Kane answers your particular comment/question in my latest post. Since there were a bunch, he decided to come out of blog retirement and answer them. Hahaha! He had particular fun with your question.

Female intuition working for you with the whole computer box issue. DON'T OPEN IT! Vista is half a step away from the underworld.

I missed my 100th post too. I blame it on Vista.
Don't even get me started. Okay, I'm started.
I'm gonna go eat my feelings.
